VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND RECREATION
MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA
During my time at DCR, I used META ad manager to create new ad campaigns and boost existing social media posts.
On these platforms, I achieved notable reductions in costs per result for annual campaigns by further defining and targeting audiences. These efforts were particularly impactful in driving park visitation, facilitating job recruitment, and promoting events.
I also created personas that refined audience targeting and informed our advertising strategy for the year. Collaborating closely with media outlets, I effectively targeted and channeled audiences at both local and national levels, optimizing campaign reach and impact.

While at DCR, I have provided support for various branches of the marketing team. Using Excel, I have tracked spending and budget on media buys, created contact lists, and researched potential and current media partners.

COMMUNITY MEDIA CENTER
MARKETING
During my time at the Institute for Contemporary Art, I helped to market multiple events for the Community Media Center, including RESONATE Podcast Festival 2022 and 2023.




SOCIAL MEDIA
I also successfully strategized and launched multiple social media accounts for the Community Media Center.

EMAIL MANAGEMENT
I have managed, created, and been responsible for various emails and newsletters to those who had joined the ICA mailing list. Here, I successfully used retargeting strategies to ensure positive click through rates and drive traffic to the newly launched social media pages.

I created a visual identity to differentiate between the Media Center and the annual RESONATE Podcast Festival while keeping the two associated.

MARKETING
At the Institute for Contemporary Art at VCU, I worked on a team to market many events, exhibitions and programs for the Institute for Contemporary Art at VCU including: So It Appears, Test Pattern, Resume at the Point of Interruption, and more.



SOCIAL MEDIA
I’ve posted across multiple platforms using third party websites such as Sprout Social to strategize and schedule posts.I have also managed public inquiry, created copy write, and maintained promotional tags.



I have managed, created, and dispersed various emails and newsletters to those who had joined the ICA mailing list. I both collaborated with a design team and provided design support. I successfully promoted events, season openings, anniversaries, and more. I have used regathering strategies, creating mailing lists of previous attendees of similar events, to ensure high attendance rates and continued interest.

BLOG WRITING
During my time at Lewis Ginter, I wrote a number of blog posts using WordPress for the garden website. I interviewed, photographed, and wrote copy for all of the postings.

SOCIAL MEDIA
I posted across multiple platforms including Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram, using Hootsuite to strategize and schedule posts. Posts included event reminders, holiday posts, behind the scenes postings, and more.
